Who is Mark Drum?

I am Mark Drum!

Born in the wonderful country of the Philippines, I moved with my mom to the USA at an early age. One thing I brought with me from the Philippines was my passion for performing. Even at an early age my family knew I wanted to pursue acting as a career. However like all parents, they wished for me to do something else with my life, maybe be a doctor or a businessman. But even though I did do sports or extracurricular activities, performing would be a constant in my life.

I grew up in Ohio and Michigan, where I had the opportunity to perform for audiences. Whether it was a choir concert, talent show, class assignments or performing on stage, theater would be something I knew I wanted to do. I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a BA in Theatre Arts and then went back home for a few years. I had some great opportunities while at home to perform on stage as well as on film.

In 2013, I moved to NYC in the fall to pursue my dream of working on Broadway and I wouldn't change how my journey got me here. I see every opportunity as an experience. Whether its positive or negative, it's growth within myself and I will continue to hone my craft as an actor! Besides performing, I love to sleep, eat food, take photos, play video games, board games, travel to new places and be with friends and family.

I served as an appointed Board Trustee for the Educational Theatre Foundation, currently serving a three year term as an elected Board Director for the Educational Theatre Association and a guest Artist teaching at various events. I've had some great opportunities blogging for a reality tv show and had some photography opportunities. I'm currently looking for representation for commercial, film, television and theater. In 2021, I joined the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA).

In September 2017, I was on the MTV show 90's House, a competition show that placed 12 millennial housemates in a 90’s inspired house and forced the young adults to officially unplug their modern-day devices and party like it’s 1990. With only the technology, catch phrases and fashion from that decade, each episode opponents will face elimination by competing in various 90’s themed challenges. The "raddest" contestant won $90K, a Mazda Miata and tickets for two on board the Ship-Hop I Love the 90’s Cruise. (source: MTV)

Exactly three year’s later, I was a contestant on ABC’s Match Game. I may not have won either (***spoiler***), but I still enjoyed the experiences!

Thanks for taking the time to read a little bit of myself, hopefully our paths will meet someday!
